Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Laima (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“TOS”). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you accept these TOS for that organization. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Use of the Service

2.1. License

Cleanbit, MB grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for the work of your laboratory, organization, research or teaching. You may not use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.

2.2. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Service.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited or unlawful messages, including order emails to suppliers.
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

3. User Accounts

Some features of the Service may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Emails

  • Account and service emails: we send the emails needed to run the Service, such as email verification, password resets, team invitations, alerts and summaries about your lab, and notices about security, outages or changes to these TOS. You receive them while you have an account.
  • Product news: we may occasionally email you about new features and tips. Every news email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not stop account and service emails.
  • Emails you send: when you email an order request to a supplier from the Service, it is sent on your behalf, with your address for replies. You are responsible for having the right to contact that recipient.

5. AI Features and Credit

5.1. AI answers

Ask Laima and the AI column suggestions in catalog imports use AI models from third-party providers, as described in our Privacy Policy. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you rely on them, especially quantities, orders and anything that affects safety. The assistant does not change your inventory or orders until you choose to save them.

You are responsible for what you send to the AI features. Do not include information you are not allowed to share.

5.2. Credit

  • AI features use your team’s credit. Each request uses credit for the AI work it takes, including a request that is stopped or paused. A request that starts with credit left may take your balance slightly below zero.
  • Team administrators can buy credit at the prices shown on the Billing page. Stripe sells the credit as seller of record through Link, and its terms apply to the payment. Refund requests and payment disputes are handled by Stripe; if a payment is refunded or disputed, we remove or hold the matching credit.
  • Credit can only be used for AI features in Laima, has no cash value and cannot be moved to another team. New teams may receive a one-time welcome credit.
  • We may change the AI features, the models they use and how much credit requests use.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these TOS.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1. Ownership

Cleanbit, MB retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all intellectual property rights.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Cleanbit, MB does not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cleanbit, MB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These TOS are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Lithuania.

11. Changes to the TOS

Cleanbit, MB may update these TOS from time to time. The revised TOS will be effective immediately upon posting. We will tell you about significant changes by email.
